Volunteer Hours from our Students

| |
Nica Impact operates two student homes for young adults between the ages of 18 and 25. It is an opportunity for young people form poverty to continue their education with the hopes they will be able to help their families and communities once they complete their schooling and acquire a good job or start their own business.

In the Student Homes the kids commit to volunteer hours each week, with a minimum of four hours per week, many of the kids spend upwards of 12 hours assisting at the old folks home in Jinotepe.

In these photos, taken by our students, they are showing off some of the elders in the assisted living facility called El Asilo.

In the photo to the right, Osmany is in his Medical shirt. He helps by checking the physical status of the folks, taking blood pressure and keeping records. Osmany is studying Nursing at his University.
